The medical system (110) comprises a central control unit (114), which is equipped to display a diagnostic measured value by a display element (118). An invasive unit (120) is provided, which has an invasive consumable (132). The invasive consumable is equipped to perform invasive surgery on a tissue of a patient. The invasive unit has an electronic identifier (140), which is read out without contact, for a piece of information. The central control unit is equipped to electronically read out the piece of information of the electronic identifier. An independent claim is included for a method for monitoring of a medical system.
