<p>The invention relates to a tear preventer (2,3) on a side air cushion outlet seam (4) of a vehicle seat covering (5) for a vehicle seat (1). According to the invention in each case a fabric hose (16) is arranged on an inner side of the vehicle seat covering(s) on the two seam ends of the side air cushion outlet seam (4) and is connected in a materially joined and/or frictionally locking fashion to the vehicle seat cover (5).
