<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enabling a culture of hydrocarbon producing microorganisms to produce hydrocarbon efficiently.SOLUTION: Inventors have found out, for the first time, a phenomenon that production efficiency of hydrocarbon is increased or decreased due to the increase or decrease in stirring power, in spite of a constant KLa (oxygen transfer volumetric coefficient ) in a culture of hydrocarbon producing microorganisms. This phenomenon suggests that a stirring power affects on physiological activity of the microorganisms, independently of a transfer magnitude of oxygen to a culture system. The inventors have found out that the optimal culture condition of the microorganisms can be specified more certainly than conventional technologies by utilizing this novel and wonderful finding by controlling both variables of oxygen-transfer coefficient derived from a function of stirring power and airflow rate, and stirrer linear speed derived from stirring power, and maintaining them in a given numerical value range where the hydrocarbon production efficiency of the microorganisms is maximum. Thus, the inventors have completed this invention.</p> |
