PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive magnet with large stored energy capable of being protected at quench occurrence.SOLUTION: The superconductive magnet is constituted of plural superconducting coil blocks (2a, 2b) each being connected to protective resistors (7a, 7b and 7c, 7d) in parallel, and which are connected in series to each other being interposed by switches (3, 5a, 5b) inserted between the coil blocks (2a, 2b). Each of the protective resistors is provided with a protective resistor short circuit switch (8a, 8b) for causing a short circuit. When a quench occurs, the switches (3, 5a, 5b) are cut off in such a state the protective resistor short circuit switches (8a, 8b) are ON; and after cutting off the switches (3, 5a, 5b), the protective resistor short circuit switches (8a, 8b) are turned OFF.
|
