PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of reducing differences in color chromaticity due to emission angle.SOLUTION: The luminaire includes: a base plate; a light-emitting element 2; and a sealing member 3. The sealing member contains a material which alters the wavelength of light emitted from the light-emitting element. The sealing member 3 has a profile of curved convex at least in one cross section including the center of the light-emitting element 2 and perpendicular to a main plane of the base plate. When an observation angle &thetas;is altered, a curve which represents changes in emission angle &thetas;is approximated by a quadratic function or trigonometric function which goes through the origin.
