PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds that donate nitroxyl (HNO) under physiological conditions and are useful in treating and/or preventing the onset and/or development of diseases or anomalies that are responsive to nitroxyl therapy, including heart failure and ischemia/reperfusion injury.SOLUTION: The invention relates to compounds represented by formula (I) and novel N-hydroxysulfonamide derivatives having (hetero)alicyclic groups or alkyl groups or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. (R1 is H; R2 is H or the like; and R3 to R7 are each independently H, a halogen atom, alkyl or the like, provided that at least one of R3 to R7 is not H.)
