PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processor capable of distinguishing a change in a tubular structure after registration, and to provide a medical image processing method.SOLUTION: A medical image processor according to this embodiment includes a data processing part for acquiring first medical image data representing a tubular structure and second medical image data representing a tubular structure, an area specification part for specifying the tubular structure in the first medical image data, determining a volume area of an object including the tubular structure along at least a portion of a long axis of the tubular structure in the first medical image data, and determining a subset of the first medical image data corresponding to the volume area of the object, and a positioning part for executing rigid body registration or affine registration between the subset and at least a portion of the second medical image data. |
