This basket forceps is provided with a sheath, a body section, and an operating section. The body section is provided with a basket section and an operating wire. The basket section is provided with multiple basket wires and a distal fixing member that is fixed to the multiple basket wires. The distal fixing member comprises a wire-fixing part to which a first wire, which is at least one of the multiple basket wires, is fixed, and a high-strength fixing part to which a second wire, which is at least another one of the multiple basket wires, is fixed more securely than the fixing strength of the first wire to the wire-fixing part. |
