Disclosed are a three dimensional camera and a control method thereof. The three dimensional camera in the present invention comprises an optic transmission part generating and transmitting IR light with a certain pattern; an optic acquisition part detecting a reflective light of an RGB light and the transmitted IR light; and a control part controlling the optic transmission part and the optic acquisition part, and using the reflective light of the detected RGB light and the detected IR light to generated a three dimensional image. According to the present invention, when the RGB light and the IR light is detected, a trouble that the RGB light and the IR light act as light noise to each other can be removed.
