THERMOCOCCUS ONNURINEUS WTC155T AND METHODS OF HYDROGEN PRODUCTION BY USING THEREOF

The present invention relates to Thermococcusonnurineus WTC155T strains (Accession No: KCTC12414BP) and a hydrogen producing method using the same. The hydrogen producing method includes the steps of: (a) supplying carbon monoxide to the strains to culture the strains; and (b) separating hydrogen from the culture. According to the present invention, the strains can adapt to a high concentration of carbon monoxide and increase the growth rate and hydrogen production capacity in the carbon monoxide density of 0.2 to 0.4 vvm.
