PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a polarizing plate, which prevents displacement (separation) between a polarizing film and a protective film during a polarizing plate manufacturing process and improves yield.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a polarizing plate comprising a polarizing film and a first protective film uses a polarizing plate manufacturing apparatus having a film conveying path that passes through a bonding section and ultraviolet irradiation section in the described order, and includes: a preliminary step, in which an elongate polarizing film and an elongate first lead film are continuously conveyed along the film conveying path to be bonded together via an adhesive layer made of an ultraviolet-curable adhesive in the bonding section, after which the adhesive layer is cured by being irradiated with an ultraviolet ray in the ultraviolet irradiation section; and a switching step, in which the first lead film being continuously conveyed along the film conveying path is replaced by an elongate first protective film. The first lead film has an ultraviolet transmittance of 10% or more over an entire range of a half width of an absorption wavelength band of the ultraviolet-curable adhesive. |
