Chair, in particular office chair, comprising a seat (2) and a backrest (1) of substantially perpendicular appearance, said seat (2) and backrest (1) being connected to a leg assembly (3). This chair is characterized in that: the front part of the seat (2), distal with respect to the backrest (1), is mounted on the leg assembly (3) via a pivot link (6) about an axis of parallel appearance to the intersection of the plans of the backrest (1) and of the seat (2); the backrest (1) is connected to the seat (2) by means of a flexible intermediate part (4) having a portion of parallel appearance to the seat (2) and fixed to the leg assembly (3) in the vicinity of the pivot link (6) of the seat (2) for the purpose of a pivoting movement of the intermediate part (4) by elastic deformation about an axis in the vicinity of and parallel to the pivot axis of the seat (2); the rear part of the seat (2), proximal with respect to the backrest (1), rests on said intermediate part (4) by means of at least one coupling element (5) of vertical appearance, the upper end of which is fixed to the seat (2) and the lower end of which rests on the intermediate part (4). |
