The present invention provides a method for preparing a nanohybrid material, a pharmaceutical composition comprising said nanohybrid material and the uses of said material. In specific, the nanohybrid material is used to prepare a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of diseases caused by protozoa of the Leishmania genus. The present invention pertains to the fields of chemistry, pharmacy and medicine.
