PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker which attains downsizing by full height suppression, vibration suppression during operation and improvement of maintenance workability, and a gas insulation switchgear employing the same.SOLUTION: The gas circuit breaker includes: a fixed contact 6; a movable contact 7 that is contacted to and separated from the fixed contact 6; a sealed tank 4 including the fixed contact 6 and the movable contact 7 inside; a manipulator 2 that drives the movable contact 7; and a mechanism part 15 accommodating a link mechanism for connecting the manipulator 2 and the movable contact 7. The manipulator includes: a cut-off spring 36 and a turn-on spring 37; a case covering a periphery of those elastic bodies; a control mechanism for retaining and releasing drive forces of the elastic bodies; and a link mechanism for transmitting the drive forces of the elastic bodies to the movable contact 7. The cut-off spring 36 is disposed between the link mechanism and the control mechanism while making an axial direction horizontal. A cut-off spring case 34 abd a turn-on spring case 35 include an integrated flange 48. |
