PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress irregular control operation among cylinders.SOLUTION: An engine control device includes an angle signal generation means, to which a rotation signal (crank signal) in which a pulse edge is generated whenever a crankshaft rotates by a predetermined angle is input, for generating an angle signal for representing a crank position by a resolution lower than the predetermined angle on the basis of the rotation signal, and controls an engine on the basis of the angle signal. The rotation signal includes reference position parts (missing tooth parts Pa) in each of which a pulse edge interval is not uniform halfway along a pulse edge sequence. The angle signal generation means generates the angle signal without using specific pulse edges (specific crank edges) among the pulse edges in the rotation signal, each of which is not generated at a crank position advancing by a predetermined angle from a top dead center (TDC) position of a predetermined cylinder (#2, #3) but is generated at a crank position advancing by the predetermined angle from a top dead center (TDC) position of a specific cylinder (#1, #4) other than the predetermined cylinder (#2, #3). |
