PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element manufacturing method and an element manufacturing device that can reduce the time required for deaeration inside the element manufacturing device.SOLUTION: An element manufacturing device includes a lid material supply part that supplies a lid material, and a pressure part that closely adheres a first surface of the lid material to an intermediate product. The pressure part forms a sealed space on a second surface side of the lid material under an environment controlled at a first pressure, then brings the first surface of the lid material into contact with the intermediate product and increases the pressure in the sealed space to a second pressure, which is higher than the first pressure to closely adhere the first surface of the lid material to the intermediate product. The lid material has a long shape including a pair of first outer edges extending along a first direction. When the lid material and intermediate product are viewed along the normal direction of a base material of the intermediate product, the pair of first outer edges of the lid material is located at least partially inside the outer edge of the intermediate product.
