PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a chemical coating of good quality on the surface of magnesium lithium alloy.SOLUTION: A component producing method comprises a step of exposing a surface 10a of base material 10 of magnesium lithium alloy to acid 13 which comprises fluorine and has magnesium lithium alloy dissolved therein, and a step of fluorinating the surface 10a after exposed to the acid 13 to form a chemical coating 10x.
