The present invention provides a method for managing the connection between a first device and a second device over a network, the method comprising the steps of: requesting application information from a second device, wherein the application information comprises information about a particular application comprised, for a bi-directional service, in the second device; acquiring the information about the particular application from the second device on the basis of the request; and connecting a first device and the second device on the basis of the information about the particular application.
