A plurality of types of separators that make it possible to uniformly feed and diffuse a fluid such as an anode gas, a cathode gas, or cooling water are prepared, and the separators are combined to constitute a cell stack for a fuel cell. The cell stack (20) for a fuel cell includes at least two types of separators (types CA, C, A, CW, AW, etc.) for the cathode gas and the anode gas. In each of the separators, an anticorrosion layer is formed on at least one surface of a metal plate (30), and a fluid feeding and diffusing layer for the corresponding gas is formed from an electroconductive porous layer on the anticorrosion layer. The two or more separators are stacked so as to face each other, with at least an electrolyte membrane and the catalyst layers on both sides thereof (a new membrane electrode assembly (N-MEA)) interposed between the fluid feeding and diffusing layers of the separators. |
