The invention relates to an artificial reef designed to be placed on the seabed, comprising essentially two or more juxtaposed pipes (1) and (2) that are parallel to the direction of wave propagation, both pipes having guides (3) and (6), the upper pipe having guides (3) that route the flow at the crest (4) of the wave towards the inlets (5), the lower pipe also having guides (6) that route the water away from the outlets (8) in the zone beneath the wave trough (7), all of these openings having flexible fabric filters that gently limit the sudden backflow. The pipes are linked hydraulically, each link having a shutoff valve associated with a unit (9) for generating useful energy. If it is desired that the important components of the device should not come into direct contact with the seawater, the device also has cushions (11), (12) and (13) made of a fine flexible material, such as rubber, that surround all of the inlets (5) and outlets (8) in these pipes, each cushion being linked simultaneously to inlets and outlets in the same vertical line of a given zone of the device, the inside of the pipes and of the cushions being filled with a fixed quantity of fluid, thereby isolating same completely from the seawater. |
