PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection lens having a wider angle of view and excellent performance.SOLUTION: A projection lens of an image display apparatus for projecting an image displayed on an image display surface of an image display element, onto a projection surface as a projection image to be displayed in enlargement, includes, in order from an enlargement side to a reduction side, a first lens group G1, an aperture stop, and a second lens group G2. The first lens group G1 is composed of eight or more lenses and has a positive refractive power. The second lens group G2 is composed of four or less lenses and has a positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 includes one or more aspherical lenses. In at least one aspherical lens L101 among the aspherical lenses included in the first lens group G1, the thickness in the outermost peripheral part of the lens is the largest. |
