<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic master cylinder which can minimize invalid strokes of the piston, independently of dimensional tolerances of the stop plate and the circlip and the processing tolerance of a mounting groove for the circlip and a brake apparatus for bar-handle vehicles.SOLUTION: A piston 5 is inserted into a bottomed cylindrical cylinder hole 3b provided with a large-diameter hole 3c on the side of the opening part. The piston 5 has a sliding part which has a primary cup 6 attached on the side of the bottom part of the cylinder hole and a secondary cup 7 attached on the side of the opening part of the cylinder hole. In the large-diameter hole 3c, a stop plate 15 which comes in contact with the end part of the sliding part 5a to restrict the retreat limit of the piston and a circlip 9 intended to retain the stop plate 15 are mounted, and a disc spring 16 is arranged between the stop plate 15 and the circlip 9. The stop plate 15 is brought into contact with a step part 3d formed between the opening end part of the cylinder hole 3b and the large-diameter hole 3c by the disc spring 16.</p> |
