A method of ameliorating the effects of radiation exposure on a cell, the method comprising contacting the cell with an agent that selectively reduces the expression or activity of one or more of a p75 TNF-α, p55 TNF-α, IL6, EGF, IL1-beta, G-CSF, MCP-1, MIP-1, SCF, or RANTES receptor in the cell relative to an untreated control cell, thereby ameliorating the effects of radiation exposure on the cell. |
