The purpose of the present invention is to provide a paper sheet processing device capable of stably transporting paper sheets with different widths. This paper sheet processing device executes, by an interlocking mechanism: a first process for transporting a paper sheet by a transporting mechanism, and then positioning a link at a second position, and housing the paper sheet in a paper sheet housing mechanism; and a second process for transporting a paper sheet by the transporting mechanism in a state where the link is positioned at a first position, and then positioning the link at the second position, and housing the paper sheet in the paper sheet housing mechanism.
