Provided is a simulation device capable of satisfactorily simulating a radiant heat transport phenomenon in a three-dimensional space including crowns at a low calculation cost. A simulation device is configured as a device provided with: a geometric factor calculation means which calculates a geometric factor relating to each two elements in a virtual three-dimensional space defined by a plurality of area elements and a plurality of volume elements, and calculates, as a geometric factor relating to two elements including one or two volume elements, a geometric factor which has been reduced by a value corresponding to the amount of radiant heat transmitted through the one or two volume elements; and a radiant heat amount calculation means which, using respective geometric factors calculated by the geometric factor calculation means, calculates the amounts of radiant heat delivered between respective elements, wherein the three-dimensional space is defined by the plurality of area elements and the plurality of volume elements such that the crowns of a plurality of trees present in the three-dimensional space are treated as the plurality of volume elements. |
