<p>The invention relates to a method for estimating the appearance of a pressure defect in a tyre on a motor vehicle wheel, based on the results of two detection algorithms, known as the temporal and frequential algorithms, each providing, for each wheel, an under-inflation probability value and an associated confidence factor value according to a wheel speed range. According to the invention, a decision module is used to provide an interpretation of the results of the temporal and frequential detection algorithms using a Bayesian approach and to merge the results of these interpretations, for example using an expert system.</p> |
