The connector (100) comprises an internal contact-carrying housing (120), and external support housing (110) and a shielding collar (150). The shielding collar (150) extends both by a rim (155) extending in a plane essentially perpendicular to the cylindrical wall (152), and by an edge (159) inserted between the contact-carrying housing (120) and the support housing (110) and comprising elastic tabs (162) for making an electrical contact with the shield (230) of a mating connector (200).
