<p>The present invention relates to a system and method for providing a user interface to a device which communicates by means of luminous signals. The user interface is a keyboard pattern which may be printed, displayed on a screen or optically projected on a working surface. The keyboard comprises an input area with a plurality of colour keys. Each colour key is a visual display of a key into a unique combination of colours. When pressing and/or approaching on a colour key by the device, a photosensitive sensor of the device captures the luminous signal from said colour keys Decoding means of the device converts said luminous signal into a key associated. The decoding means uses a demodulation made on at least one colour parameter such as hue and/or saturation. In addition, the method includes an identification of the selected key. The method also includes outputting the identification of the selected key to the device and performing the instructions associated to the selected key.</p> |
