<p>TAPERED LOOPED SUTURE Abstract A suture (10) including a loop (12) having a tapered surface is provided. The suture (10) includes an elongate body including a proximal portion (1Oa) and a distal K portion (lob), wherein the distal portion (1Ob) includes first and second overlapping sections (13,14) and a loop (12). A proximal end (1Oa) of the first overlapping section (13) may be tapered with respect to a longitudinal axis of the elongate body. The first overlapping section (13) may be secured to the second overlapping section (14) proximal of the loop (12).
