The system has a retainer mechanism (8) provided with a telescoping mechanism that allows an axial variation of a relative position of a tool (2) relative to a guide sleeve (9) from a short position to a long position. A set of handgrips (1a) is provided with different length of the guide sleeve. A position of the retainer mechanism for the tool lies in the short position or in the long position relative to a distal extremity (9b) for the guide sleeve for each handgrip at the short position or the long position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a handgrip (2) a tool.
