A device for controlling a linearly movable member 4 and a rotatable member 3, comprises a main hydraulic cylinder 9 and piston 10, an auxiliary piston 20 of adjustable stroke slidable within a revolving cylinder 21 having at each end an opening 22, 23 serving as an outlet for discharge of liquid from the main cylinder, the inlet and discharge of liquid to and from the auxiliary cylinder being reversed for every 180 degrees revolution thereof, and the displacement velocity of the main piston being controlled as a function of the rotational velocity of the auxiliary cylinder 21. In a gear-cutting machine, the gear 2 is carried by the table 3 rotated by a worm on a shaft 6 which also carries the cylinder 21. Pressure fluid is continuously supplied to the cylinder 9, the discharge being alternately via the opening 22 and a passage 19 and via the opening 23 and the passage 19. The amount of fluid discharged is dependent on the setting of a screw 24 regulating the stroke of the free piston 20. More than one piston 20 may be provided, the chamber 12 of the cylinder 9 may be associated with a similar control piston, and the device may be applied to feeding the hob instead of the work. |
