The tool (1) has a core tool (1a) comprising a cavity (3) in a portion, where a self-sufficient latent heat accumulator (4) and/or a thermochemical heat accumulator are provided in the cavity for self-sufficient tempering of the core tool in the portion. The core tool is designed as a hollow core. The latent heat accumulator contains saline solution, paraffin solution, sodium acetate trihydrate solution or alums. A hygroscopic material e.g. silica gel, zeolite or metal hydrides, are contained in the thermochemical heat accumulator. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a composite component.
