The heating block has a housing comprising a heating section for heating the liquid. Several heating channels (26b,26c) are provided with heating coils and U-shaped deflection portions (28c) for deflecting the liquid between the adjacent heating channels. The U-shaped deflection portion is provided with an inlet portion (32a) for reducing the surface of flow of the heating channels. The heating channel (26c) is opened in a step-wise manner.
