The present invention relates to a feeder to supply a component with a directional nature which aligns components which must be supplied in a determined direction for the components to continuously have the determined direction, and a method to supply the same are provided to change or control a directional nature during a conveying process and to make it possible to continuously supply a large quantity. The feeder (10) of the present invention comprises: an input module (11) to supply a number of components; a direction detecting module (12) which conveys each component of the input module (11) in a row, detects the direction of components, and conveys them through different paths; a directional nature control module (13) which controls the directional nature of components for the components conveyed from the direction detecting module (12) to have a different directional nature from that of the components conveyed on the direction detecting module (12); a pickup module (14) which maintains a standby status to pick up the components conveyed from the directional nature control module (13); and a driving module (15). |
