The present invention relates to a method for extracting important computer-executable keywords. The method includes the steps of: calculating the relative importance of each word detected in at least one input document; comparing the words respectively with at least one user-defined keyword and determining the importance of at least one of the words with respect to the weight of the user-defined keyword; and providing at least one of the words for a user. Accordingly, the present invention can efficiently detect user-defined keywords from one or more documents.
