Method for transferring a communication link between a video digital broadcast network and a cellular network

The method involves measuring losses of data packets (k) during communication. Switching of communication is controlled via a cellular network e.g. universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS)network, when the measurement of the losses of the data packets exceeds a predetermined switching threshold such that the communication is performed via the cellular network. Retransmission of lost packets is controlled by the cellular network when the measurement of the losses exceeds a retransmission threshold that is less than the predetermined switching threshold. An independent claim is also included for a communication terminal for receiving a communication via a digital broadcasting network, comprising a measuring unit.
