<p>The rail has a tread groove comprising side walls (20, 22) limited via a rail surface (24) for a vehicle, where the walls are formed by a protection limitation for the tread groove. A protective insert (26) is made of plastic e.g. polyurethane, and is inserted into the groove, such that a lower area of the insert is connected with a base of the groove via an adhesive tape (34). An upper area of the insert lies at the walls, such that a free space (32) is formed in a middle area between the upper area lying at the walls of the groove and the lower area adhered with the groove.</p> |
