The present invention is intended for Cyclo-Lloyd gear hobbing and relates to a tool comprising a head (1) and a plurality of milling inserts (2) protruding from the front side (4) of the head. The milling inserts are mounted on the chip removal unit (3) removably connected to the head, wherein desirably two milling inserts are mounted. The individual milling insert (2) is clamped by a wedge (19) and an easy accessible screw (20), and the wedge (19) acts on the milling insert in the tangential direction and a solid tangential support part in the form of shoulder (56) is behind the milling insert. By the wedge clamping of the milling insert, the milling inserts are mounted and separated in a simple manner as well as spokes + milling insert + tangential support part of each group can be positioned in the tangential direction so as to efficiently support cutting forces acting on the milling insert. In additional aspects, the present invention, in addition to this insert holder intended for the tool, relates to the insert kit as well as a chip removal unit in the form of an insert with the milling insert. |
