Extruded filaments 16, 17 from two separate sets are brought together and united to form a net. In Fig. 2, the inner die 10 rotates with the extrusion screw and the strands are passed through a ring 15 and in Fig. 4 the outer die 9 is rotated and the strands are passed over a mandrel 21. In Fig. 5, strands 30, 31 are extruded on to a mandrel 32 and either die 28, 29 or the mandrel 32 may reciprocate whilst the mandrel rotates to withdraw the net. Various patterns and cross-sections of strands may be extruded. |
