<p>Provided is a cupric oxide powder that has a high purity, a high solubility in a plating solution and a high fluidity. A production method according to the present invention comprises: a heating step (S1) for heating an electrolytic copper powder in an air atmosphere; a wet milling step (S2) for preparing a slurry, the slurry concentration of said slurry being adjusted to 15-65 wt% inclusive, of a copper oxide powder obtained in the heating step (S1)and milling the slurry of the copper oxide powder thus prepared; and a spray drying step (S3) for drying the cupric oxide micropowder obtained in the wet milling step (S2) by spray drying. The production method may further comprise, prior to the heating step (S1), an electrolytic copper powder-recovering step (S0) for electrically decomposing copper in a copper sulfate solution and recovering the same. In the wet milling step (S2), it is preferred to mill the slurry of the copper oxide powder to an average particle size of 1μm or less to thereby obtain a cupric oxide micropowder of 8,000 mPa·s or below. In the spray drying step (S3), it is preferred that drying is conducted at 100-400°C inclusive while controlling a disk rotating speed to 10,000-50,000 rpm inclusive.</p> |
