The present invention relates to a power supply device and a power supply method using the same. The power supply device for supplying power to a chipset of a semiconductor device according to the present invention includes a front control voltage regulator which converts main power into a front control supply voltage group including at least one front control supply voltage and supplies the front control supply voltage group to the chipset in response to the chipset, a rear control voltage regulator which converts the main power into at least one rear control supply voltage and supplies the rear control supply voltage group to the chipset, a control unit which supplies a command to activate the rear control supply voltage group to the chipset for enabling the chipset to use the rear control voltage supply group, and an output discharge unit which discharges charges which remain on the outer terminal of the front control voltage regulator in the non-operation of the front control voltage regulator in response to the level of the main power.
