An electric water heater is provided to allow assembly without welding, to easily assemble and install regardless of the capacity of the water heater, and to replace a hot water pipe or a cold water pipe easily according to the needs of a consumer or worker. The electric water heater of the present invention, which has a connecting member made from an elastic material, placed in the hole where hot water flows in and out, and fastened to a cold water pipe and a hot water pipe, respectively, comprises: a housing; a water tank placed inside the housing where cold water enters and is heated to become hot water; an electric heating unit that heats the cold water in the water tank; and a control unit that controls the heating temperature of the electric heating unit. The water tank has a cold water pipe where cold water flows in on one side and a hot water pipe where hot water flows out. One end of the cold water pipe and the hot water pipe is inserted into and fixed to a connecting member that secures the cold water pipe and the hot water pipe by penetrating the housing. The connecting member is installed by penetrating a hole where the cold water and hot water flow in and out formed on the housing, and a bump may be formed on its outer circumference surface. |
