<p>The method involves automatically controlling a flying vehicle (1) to trace a circle whose radius increases in time, along a longitudinal axis (4) of the vehicle during lock-on phase of a strapdown homing device (2), until a movable target (C) is detected, where viewing direction (3) extends along the axis of the vehicle. The vehicle is simultaneously subjected to two controls to vary angles formed between a homing device vector related to the axis of the vehicle and two vehicle axes, respectively, in a sinusoidal or out-of-phase manner. An independent claim is also included for a flying vehicle i.e. aerial missile.</p> |
