A method for determining whether a driver touches a steering wheel or not is provided to determine if the driver is touching the steering wheel, by comprising the steps of: receiving the input of the output voltage value of a torsion angle sensor and vehicle speed; calculating a first absolute value of an output voltage value; calculating a second absolute value of a torsion angle using the first absolute value; filtering the second absolute value of the torsion angle; calculating the standard value by vehicle speed; and comparing the filtered second absolute value and the standard value by vehicle speed and determining whether the driver is touching the steering wheel. |
