A sound guiding structure for an acoustic device, including a cone-shaped horn 2302 having a throat end for connecting to a sound source and an open mouth end, wherein the throat end is narrower than the mouth end. A horn ring of acoustically absorbent material 2305 is provided at the mouth end of the horn, where the horn ring is mounted on the exterior of the horn and extends beyond the end of the horn. The horn ring may be a truncated cone following the outer contours of the horn, and can be made of foam, where the foam density may be between 5kg and 500kg per cubic metre or preferably between 5kg and 20kg. The horn ring may also have a fabric cover, which may be loose fitting and possibly does not extend beyond the end of the horn. |
