METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE ROLL ANGLE OF A MOTORCYCLE

A rolling rate is obtained using a sensor measuring the speed of rotation and a first rolling angle determined. A second characteristic value such as the speed and/or the acceleration is obtained and a second rolling angle determined. The sizes of the angles are added in order to determine an overall rolling angle. The value of the first angle is routed through a high pass filter and the value of the second angle through a low pass filter before the overall value is determined. Independent claims are given for a device using the method and for the use of the method.
