A backlight unit according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a dimming signal generating part for generating a plurality of pulse modulation signals; a plurality of driving blocks for outputting light corresponding to driving voltage; a control part for receiving the pulse modulation signals and the output signal of one driving block among the driving bocks and generating a voltage control signal; and a voltage conversion part for generating the driving voltage by adjusting an input voltage level in response to the voltage control signal.
