摘要 The present invention relates to a secondary battery having a movable space and a method for forming a movable space, which lessens the distortion of a secondary battery generated when the secondary battery is charged and discharged. According to the present invention, the method for forming a movable space in which an electrode plate can be moved, in a winding process of a secondary battery, comprises the steps of: manufacturing an electrode assembly where a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a separation membrane, interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, are wound all together; placing a structure in an outermost winding end portion formed in the electrode assembly; winding the outer surface of the electrode assembly, where the structure is placed, with a sealing tape; and forming a certain movable space, where an electrode plate can be moved, near the winding end portion by removing the placed structure. The present invention enables to lessen the distortion of an electrode assembly which is generated when a secondary battery is charged and discharged by forming a movable space in the outermost portion of the electrode assembly in preparation for the volume expansion when charging the secondary battery as the structure is placed in and removed from the winding end portion of the electrode assembly during a winding process of the secondary battery.
