The present invention relates to a filter medium for an aquarium and an aquarium including the same that provide an optimal environment necessary for growth of nitrate bacteria. More particularly, the filtering medium of the present invention includes: particles of sericite and coral for purifying organic materials inside of the aquarium, and sufficiently supplying an oxygen; and a bed which allows population of nitrate to be formed thereon. |
