<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient impact absorbing stroke against collision loads from ahead and above when a frontal collision of a vehicle occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The impact absorbing stroke of a front hood 15 can be secured by a moving relative movement of the base part 28 of a lock device 18, fastened with bolts 31, 32 to mounting holes of the bracket 25 fixed on the back surface of a bulkhead 17, to a bracket 25 when collision loads of a frontal collision applied to the front hood 15 is transmitted from a striker 16 to the base part 28 through a hook 30 of the lock device 18. At this time, the impact absorbing stroke can be secured against both collision loads from ahead and above by making the base part 28 slide backward first and then slide downward, so that absorption effect of the collision energy can be improved because the mounting holes of the bracket 25 includes at least one circular arc long hole 25d that curves backward and downward from the front end toward the rear end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
